Materials Needed:

  • Cardboard egg carton

  • Potting soil or seed-starting mix

  • Seeds

  • Plastic wrap or a clear plastic lid

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Carton: Cut the lid off the egg carton. Each individual egg cup will serve as a compartment for starting seeds.

  2. Fill with Soil: Fill each egg cup with potting soil or seed-starting mix, leaving a small indent for the seeds.

  3. Plant Seeds: Plant one or two seeds in each compartment according to the seed packet instructions.

  4. Water: Water the soil gently until it's evenly moist.

  5. Cover (Optional): Place plastic wrap over the top of the egg carton or use a clear plastic lid to create a greenhouse effect. This helps retain moisture and warmth.
